(The domain
name is your site's identification - for example www.ebay.com,
www.google.com
etc) - there are no limitations other than if the domain
has already been purchased. When choosing your domain
there are a few things that are best to keep in mind; the
first is that your domain is succinct
so that others can remember it without necessarily writing it
down, numbers and special characters such as underscores can
be used in your domain but are not
advisable as the best domains are ones that can be remembered
easily. The next most crucial aspect is the ending of the domain
- .com is ALWAYS more
valuable than ANYTHING else. If you want a particular domain
for which .com is not available then .co.uk, .net etc can be
used (for instance www.example.com
may have gone but www.example.co.uk
is different and may still be available) but always try and
get a .com address - they are universal and the most easily
remembered.
To find out if a domain
exists, just type it into your browser/address bar and press
enter. If you get the "This Page Does Not Exist"
page then you're in luck! It will exist soon with you as
the owner!!!!! Any other pages or an actual site mean the domain is already taken so please have
a good few ideas as you would be surprised as to how many
domains have already been allocated. Once you have your domain
in mind please reply to this email with the one you would like
and we will set it up for you including everything ready for
you to add your stock which of course is also provided.
If you have any design preferences, such as
particular colours, themes or font types that you would like
for your site, please let us know. This is not necessary as we
are happy to design it completely for you but some people have
a certain "look" they have in mind even if just a
vague idea so we always ask for any preferences before we
begin.
